KillerBetties.com is a site originally created by 2 women -- gamers, mothers, wives and writers. The intention of this site is to create a comfortable and entertaining online space for both female and male gamers to enjoy themselves. We have a strong focus on the issues relevant to the female gamer, but we would never leave the male gamer out and hope they will find the site just as interesting.

Staci "Rosethorn" Krause has been a video game journalist for 5 years. She started out with female oriented sites grrlgamer.com and womengamers.com before stepping into mainstream games journalism, freelancing with IGN and Games Domain. She spent 4 years writing freelance articles for IGN PC and working on their Vault Network fansites. She has recently been with Warcry, handling Industry Relations for the network and writing articles when she had a free moment. In addition to Killer Betties, she also currently works for IGN TV, covering crime drama and reality shows.

Staci is a proud mother of two little boys, Zachary Sawyer and Nicholas Alexander. They take up a lot of her day, but she somehow still finds time in between being a mother and working with video game sites to pay attention to her loving husband David. Every once in a while she gets to actually play a game too!

After 3 years of working in various parts of the games journalism section of the industry, Staci had decided to team up with her best friend Nicole and return to her roots by creating Killer Betties. Nicole had to give up her share of the site for another opportunity, but her influence remains strong.

Killer Betties gives Staci an outlet to write about the various issues in the industry as well as the games, books and movies she finds time to entertain herself with. Her only hope is that the readers find her topics of interest as intriguing as she does.
