Teens need parents to communicate with them more often about sex and related issues. Parents need a good excuse to bring up sex and a reason to keep the conversation going. The Sex Ed Game is an easy, non-confrontational way for parents to bring up important topics during a fun family activity that isn't about the teen or their specific sex life. Teens can ask questions and not have the parents jump to conclusions about "why are they asking me this?" or "how on earth do they know about that?" and parents can bring up values and anecdotes about the topics that come up in the game without teens feeling it's preaching or unsolicited advice directed at them. The Sex Ed Game is way for teens to learn useful facts (over 650 of them across 26 carefully researched topics) about sexual health and relationships while actively communicating with the people who can make the biggest difference in helping and supporting them as they make difficult choices. At minimum, playing The Sex Ed Game helps parents show teens that they are open-minded, that they don't know everything-- but are actively learning and seeking information from reliable sources, and that teens can come to them about sexual health and dating.
