Playstation Head Says Sony Doesn't Buy Exclusivity

Can Sony even be trusted anymore? They say they won't do one thing, bad mouthing Microsoft for releasing the Elite system, and yet they have plans in motion for their own Elite like upgrade. If Sony aren't buying exclusives, they might want to look into it, cause they certainly need them badly if they want to get back on track in this next-gen battle.

The new print issue of PSM magazine includes a chat with Sony Computer Entertainment of America president Jack Tretton who talks about getting exclusive third party titles for their PS3 console. While much has been made on Microsoft getting Xbox 360 ports of third party games that were previously exclusive to Sony's console, Tretton said that Microsoft is all about the money when it comes to getting those exclusives:

We have a very different approach to exclusives than some of our competitors. We don't buy exclusivity. We don't fund development. We don't, for lack of a better term, bribe somebody to only do a game on our platform. We earn it...
