Nothing Gets a PSP moving like a Final Fantasy

It’s no secret that the PSP is not doing as well on the market as it’s competitor, the Nintendo DS. Sure it’s a system that is focused on being a multiple entertainment system with the ability to play music, watch movies, and of course, play games, but it appears that it’s just not doing enough for some members of the gaming public. I mean they have resorted to a number of “new marking” gimmicks such as the letting them come in Pink, Blue and Sliver. (I would like to state for the record that the Pink PSP is UGLY), and have dropped the price, but still no bitters. But I think they finally got something.
A little while ago a game was announced. This game is “Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core “for the PSP. That’s right ladies and gents, a Final Fantasy VI installment with Zack as the main character will be hitting the PSP in August 20th 2007. I didn’t even know that this game existed till I saw the trailer posted. Once I had viewed the trailer, I thought to myself it looks pretty cool. The trailer looks like cut scene material, but with the massive amount of VI fans that exist who are all crying out for more, this might give fans a little bit of what they want. Also it’s going to sell PSP’s in the process, because people are just going to buy the system for the game. Good Move Sony, Good move indeed.
