NBC Sports and Abandon Mobile to Publish Three Game Titles for Mobile Devices. The mobile game titles -- Bode Miller Alpine Racing, NBC Sports Speed Skating, and NBC Sports Figure Skating -- mark the first three titles branded and supported by NBC Sports under the recently announced agreement with Abandon Mobile. Abandon Mobile is a new venture from AEGF, a partnership between Abandon Entertainment and GF Capital Management & Advisors. Abandon Mobile will be unveiling their initial line up of NBC Sports mobile games at an exclusive press open house on Friday, November 18, 2005 at their offices located at 810 Seventh Ave, 11th Floor, New York, NY. Press interested in attending may contact Michael Meyers at Michael@mmpr.com. Appealing to the seasoned mobile game player as well as the novice looking to have some fun, Bode Miller Alpine Racing, NBC Sports Speed Skating, and NBC Sports Figure Skating all offer a chance to escape and assume the identity of a world champion downhill skier, a short track speed skater, or an up-and-coming figure skater. "Our idea was to create games that people everywhere would associate with," said Jamie Ottilie, chief operating officer, Abandon Mobile. "When you're looking to kill a few minutes by playing games on your mobile device, you want something fun and familiar." In Bode Miller Alpine Racing, would-be racers try to master the challenging slalom, Super-G and downhill courses. In NBC Sports Speed Skating, players try to become world champion skaters, facing opponents in three speed skating events. For those who have ever dreamed of completing a triple salchow or that perfect double axel, players of the NBC Sports Figure Skating game will now get the chance to show off their skills. In the game, choreographing and executing some of the most difficult moves in figure skating allows competitors to capture the essence of one of the world's most popular sports. Additional NBC Sports-branded mobile games to be released later in 2006 include NBC Sports Heads-Up Poker and Golf Skills Challenge mobile games.
