Dynasty Warriors 5 and Haruka 3 win the "Excellence Award" at the Annual Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association Game Awards Show in Japan. "The success of the Dynasty Warriors series is all thanks to the fans who have supported us, and I thank you," said Mr. Takashi Morinaka, Director of Dynasty Warriors 5. "Dynasty Warriors 5 has continued the series' tradition of critical acclaim and strong sales, and was one of the top-selling PlayStation 2 games of the year." KOEI is no stranger to this honor, having previously garnered Excellence Awards for Dynasty Warriors 3, Dynasty Warriors 4, and Samurai Warriors. The company's expansion to Dynasty Warriors 5, Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends, will ship to North American retailers on November 15, 2005. Haruka 3 is the first female-oriented game to win the Excellence Award. It is an anime-style game that creates a fantasy world of adventure and romance, and has gained a huge following among female gamers in Japan. The Computer Entertainment Software Association is the trade organization representing Japan's video game industry. The awards honor the finest console and handheld software titles released in Japan from April 2004 to March 2005, and were determined by a CESA committee in conjunction with votes from the Japanese gaming public. Jason's Comments: That Haruka 3 game sounds interesting...first time I've heard about it.
