Meet Hunter.
She’s 5’5 with dark hair, brown eyes and a temper that she struggles to contain.
She’s jacked cars in some of the scariest areas of town, fought gangs in dark alleys, competed in 100’s of martial arts tournaments and beaten a ridiculous number of people to a messy bloody pulp. And that is when she is in a good mood.
She is however a terrible driver.
I try not to think about the number of people she’s run over or crashed into. Or the cost of repairs that must come with completely totalling a vehicle, after she tried to getaway from the cops by driving off a bridge and into the murky water below.
She’s lost so much blood over the years I’m surprised she’s not anaemic.
She has broken bones, lost teeth and dislocated limbs all in an effort to prove that she is the best of the best.
She is a foul mouthed, brawling, murdering bitch that doesn’t take anything from anyone.
And I am proud to say she is me.
Well kind of.
Hunter is my Virtual alter ego.
She does all of the things I just couldn’t/wouldn’t ever be able to do in waking life.
Hunter was the one who battled Xemnas at the end of KH2, and It was Hunter that kicked Jinpachi Mishima’s mutated butt to the curb in the final round of Tekken 5. She has saved civilisations, commandeered pirate ships, freed slaves, murdered members of royal family’s and rescued Princess Fiona from certain despair.
Yep Hunter is who comes out when it’s game time.
She’s the one who takes the hits and makes the kill . And she is also the person with the cigarette balanced precariously in the corner of her mouth, casting filthy looks at my flatmate when she has the audacity to ask if she could have a go at a game Hunter’s playing.
Because truth be told it is getting harder and harder for me to separate Myself from Hunter.
My way of doing things seems so boring in comparison. I mean Hunter has barely broken a sweat whilst battling galactic super beings. Surely her straight shooting no bullshit attitude would serve me just as well during my team meetings at work? Right? Only when negotiating doesn’t work…

Hmm, I think the only time
Hmm, I think the only time my alter ego ever shows any side is during RPGs where he tends to be a spiky haired Drow/Dark Elf type, who is very chaotic, witty and charismatic and prone to sadistic behaviour. At least thats the only time I can get a clear picture. Normally with games its probably some genocidal maniac screaming to get out, at least if you take the politicians word for it.
