Gas on Fire: Sony Exec Responds to Price Outcry

What's the saying? Something about the pot calling the kettle black? Australian PlayStation director Michael Ephraim caused quite the controversy the other day when he said the Xbox 360 and Wii were "pricey." Yes, everyone get a good laugh out of the irony, and click on over to read about the fallout.

Speaking on a blog with Australian newspaper The Age, Ephraim first thanks readers for sharing in a "web dialogue" concerning his comments yesterday, when he called the Wii "a bit pricey" and said that the Xbox 360 was "a big investment for family entertainment."

But Ephraim's latest comments are sure to spread their own controversy. In the follow up response, he denies that he has "forgotten about the [PS3's] price point" and adds that "the PlayStation 3 is unashamedly a very powerful machine."
