GameStop Gets Tough on M-rated Game Sales

Wow, talk about a harsh penalty. There was just a story last week about how specialty gaming stores were sloppier in their handling of selling M-rated games to minors who shouldn't be able to purchase them, and it looks like GameSpot is taking action to make sure they aren't on the losing end of any new report again.

As reported by Destructoid, leading retailer GameStop recently issued a new, no-nonsense policy to managers and sales associates (and I’m paraphrasing here):

Sell an M-rated game to an underage buyer and you and your manager are both fired… outta here… terminated, with extreme prejudice…
