Here is an interesting blog entry, where the writer asks why there are so very few women when it comes to tanks in MMORPGs. Are women simply not good at that job in particular, or is that it is looked at as a less than desirable position?
I've noticed (at least on the raiding guilds that I've come into contact with on my server) that I have never known a female main tank in any of them. There are female warriors, but none of them main tank for the guild on a regular basis. One of the guilds that my guild used to be allied with had a female warrior that I think MT'd for their ZG runs for a bit, but other than that, I don't think I've found any others.
Is this generally the case elsewhere too? I'm sure in all-female raiding guilds, female MTs exist, but how about in regular raiding guilds? And if it really is the case that female MTs are a rarity, why is it the case? I know there are more males playing this game, but it just seems odd to me, given that I've seen plenty of females doing other "main" jobs for a raid, such as raid leader.

When I use to play WoW, I was actually the main tank for the guild. ^.^ But those days have gone by the way.
