'Fable 2' Uses The Improbability Drive

Many people enjoyed the original Fable, but many didn't like the fact you had to play as a man, and that there was no option to play as a woman. Well, for Fable 2, things are about to change, because women will be getting a more prominent role, because this time you'll be able to play as a woman, and women even have the ability to get pregnant in the game (even your female avatar).

A few years ago, I was talking a friend who had made the jump from PC-only to Console gaming by buying an XBox. I remember asking her what she thought of Fable, since it had piqued my interest.

“It’s ok,” she replied, “But I’ve gotten used to being able to play a woman in my RPGs, I like it when I can have my character look like me.”

Indeed, even a couple of years ago, a customizable RPG that didn’t let you customize your sex seemed a little … off to me.

When I had first heard of Fable 2’s super-secret feature in last week’s Penny-Arcade, I was imagining it from the perspective of the old game, where you always played a dude. Having done a little follow-up on the matter, it’s nice to know that in Fable 2, the woman you impregnate might be yourself.
