Destructoid.com now has up an interview with Nikole. So who is Nikole? She's just a gamer they found on myspace. So why include her today and why do I ask so many questions? Not sure about the questions, but we've included her here because she gives some experiences about being a girl gamer, about comments thrown her way for being a girl gamer, and be sure to view the comments where more comments about her being a girl gamer are viewable - they aren't all nice either.

Girl gamers get a lot of shit talked to them. It’s like a personal triumph every time a bunch of guys destroy a girl in a forum. I think if a girl plays games, she’s a gamer. And if a girl is cute and has fun pictures of herself then great. That has nothing to do with how authentic her love for games are, and it’s just ignorant to say otherwise. The internets in general harbor many people who just give everyone shit, girls certainly get it the most.
